Shoot 17

Adalaj

for this shoot, we were taken to Adalaj Stepwell and assignment was, take photos. thats it, take good photos paly with the setting in lightroom..so this is how it went.

has a picture ever intimidated you?

never a staircase like this at adalaj, wonder which room it leads to, dont you think?

found growing out on the topmost step on the roof

its fascinating how the wall in the black frame is actually wall behind but something makes it look like that is a carved stone just kept in the middle and how the wall merges so beautifully with the reflection in the water

love at Adalaj?

copy of a copy of a copy

the best about adalaj for me was capturing this lil guy, literally giving me a feeling of wildlife photographer, capturing something so small from so close trying to capture its sheer details

and there we go another with, this time even closer

Observation

well photographing at Adalaj, i really enjoyed exploring both the big and small things around me. Playing with different angles, using reflections in the water, and noticing tiny details like plants or little insects made the images feel more alive , some shots focused on steps or architectural patterns, while others captured close-up, Overall, the photos feel curious and thoughtful, like they’re asking the viewer what they see

Learning

this shoot taught me how much light, and framing and obviously the editing can change the way a photo feels playing with angles, distance, and composition helped me see both the large architecture and the small details in a new way. It showed me that photography isn’t just about capturing what’s in front of you, it’s about noticing, exploring, and presenting it in a way that tells a story
