Portrait of a friend with sketch 

in this assignment we were asked to sketch out the composition and then take a portrait of a friend capturing the emotion and the activity.



sketch to show him the multitasking, the expression on his face is quite exaggerated in the sketch to give away the message of him focusing on multiple things at the same time. 




from this portrait, i wanted to showcase the subject's quality of multitasking and concentration on work and even other un-related activities. 




FOR REFERENCE


i noticed, how he works with so much concentration, he might look tired in the photo but the brain's always coming up with creative ideas while working on multiple things at the same time.


Learning

in this assignment i learnt how i can, simply sketch out my composition rather than setting it up while taking a picture, it reduces the amount of the time given on one picture and puts more emphasis on the thought given in while coming up the idea of what i would want to show or make other see first, the sketch is surely too rough but still something that helps in figuring out the composition and understand the framing in a better way. it works like a grid when you layout a poster or any other form of visual communication. it also helps me keep a track of  the composition that i plan to capture in future.

 13th Sept'25 Shoot 3  (AT HOME) Playing with Exposure (again) In this assignment, we explored the impact of exposure on photographic composition. The task was to experiment with different levels of exposure by intentionally creating overexposed and underexposed shots. The aim was to observe how varying light levels influence the mood, clarity, and overall visual balance of an image, but this time at home.  The exposure is set for the darker, ambient parts of the scene, which causes the brightest elements the lights on the stall to become washed. This means a complete loss of detail turning this into pure white areas. However, this approach makes the details in the shadows and the background clearly visible.    15th Sept'25 Shoot 5 Motion Blur Motion blur in photography happens when a moving subject is captured with a slower shutter speed, causing the motion to appear as a streak or blur in the image. Instead of freezing the action, it emphasizes the sense of movement, speed, and dynamism . Photographers often use this intentionally like blurring car lights in night photography, showing flowing water as silky smooth, or capturing the rush of people in a busy street to create mood and energy. However, if unintentional, motion blur can make photos look shaky or unclear.
